Eastwood Park, Tam Velley
This 6 acre park in the Tam Valley area of Marin County is the largest park serving this neighborhood. The original park improvements were first installed in the 1970’s and had reached the end of their life spans. That coupled with the changing demographics of the surrounding neighborhood, the need for access and safety improvements, created the need for upgraded facilities. After conducting extensive public outreach Abey Arnold Associates provided a design that addressed the needs of the community with the addition of picnicking opportunities, a renovated turf meadow, new play equipment, new pathways, a restroom, and re-surfaced parking, basketball court, and tennis courts. The parking areas were reorganized within the footprint of the original layouts to create additional spaces and ADA compliant access to the park.
